Fritz Meyer in 1870 at Jackson County; Residing With the Helmans

Mary and Fred from the Meyer book.
Welcome to the my page. Today. I thought I would be a little visual.
I was browsing the marriage records of Illinois again and brought
forth the name Herman Millman, who married the
sister- in- law of Juergen Friedrich Meyer of Oldendorf
and Roethen [ geb 1814], Maria Ahrens. Remember
she wrote a letter in a little yellow envelope to Friedrich[ geb 1861]
in 1868 about work for him in Galena.
I hadn't been able to find her marriage records at
Jo Davies county. I guess it was because of another
spelling of her name. And maybe I was too busy
looking for Molleman, Mohlman and Molman.
[Perhaps Millman is a american version.]
Herman's father is spelled the other way.
Anyway, now you can see the names of the record
of the marriage. It is not entire proof. I did go and
search the trees and found some in which he lies.

MILLMAN, HERMAN -ARNDS, MARY -
1868-02-19 C /153- JO DAVIESS

Now I'd like you to take a look at the census
where Herman and Mary were
hiding under my nose at Tete des Morts.
Yes, Fred or Fritz was staying with them, helping,
just as the little yellow letter to Fred promised
a place to work in America at their farm.
I had mostly remembered the Tiedeman family
where he lived in 1880.
In the census that contains my Fritz Meyer in 1870 at
Jackson county Iowa, he resides with the Hellmans.
Who are really most likely Herman and Mary.
I could be wrong,
I will have to verify children and their age.
Eventually.
Most of the trees owners were not aware of who the Mary was. Herman
had two spouses.
There are a few other proofs but here is another one.
Bellevue Lutheran Cemetery Listing, Bellevue, Jackson Co., Iowa
And
Herman MILLMAN born 6.Sept.1856
- death 8.Feb.1934
Herman Millman born about April 1816
-death12. April.1900

But I did look up Marie Ahrens in that tree and
though the spouse is married to the same woman
in Germany, the birth date and facts for Herman
seem to be off in so many trees.
So I need to find more proof.

While your looking, do notice the Schenk family,
and the Rieckens.
They are his future family once he marries Mary Schenk.

I thought it would be good to get a good look at
Tete des Morts land ownership.

When Marie wrote to Friedrich about joining her and
her husband to help on the farm, I wonder if she
included the name of her husband Mr. Molleman.
If she did, the full name should be in the documents
of where Fritz Meyer would be working, once he
reached Galena. Instead of working at Illinois
they crossed the Mississippi river and worked
in Jackson county.

Would you like a link to the information on Mary Ahren's
little yellow envelope from Galena and the finding on Aida
about it all.?

Or you can just search in search box for more information.
